Beauty contests as coverup?

Sometime last week was, apparently, the Miss Universe 2010 pageant. Twitter was a-buzz with it and to some extent so was my Facebook friends list. I have to admit that my interest in beauty contests remains limited to a brief stint back in 1993 when an old high school and music classmate of mine not only secured the Miss Jamaica World title, but went on to win the Miss World title as well.

The Army’s report on the increase in suicides

I never intended this blog to be an outlet for military commentary. It really was supposed to be my internal mind. Guess what, though? The army has become an integral part of my internal mind. So bear with me whilst I get something off my chest today.

The army has released it’s report on the analysis of the ever-increasing suicide rate. I saw the tweet from FamilyMWR (Family Moral, Welfare and Recreation) this morning. I read over the post ..read more

Despair, that at this point I don’t think I’ve done enough to be ready for this.

That was one of the times I removed someone from a friends list.

The one other ..read more

customs woes

No matter where I live, it seems I am to be plagued by Customs agents who have no common sense and no sense of respect for private property and no professionalism.

I asked my parents to send on some personal items to me and the best way we thought was to hold onto the items and once a complete box-full of stuff was ready to be shipped, to just send the box on via UPS.

Well

I was actually impressed that the box ..read more

anti-climatic

I’ve not posted for a LONG time, so lemme catch you all up:

I’ve been working hard and long and I am mostly exhausted, except when I deny myself sleep and play my warlock again like I never stopped. We got a truck bed cover for the truck so that when we move, we’ll be able to pack stuff into the truck without fear of them blowing out, getting soaked or being exposed to eyes everywhere. Oh yea – we’re supposed to be ..read more
